| Anyone who knows me well enough knows that I'm really into Michael Jackson. Off The Wall, with the immediate exception of "She's Out of My Life", is probably the best thing to come out of the Disco genre (if not the only thing). I still don't think Mike touched all them little boys, and I don't care what anyone says haha. Saw this board though and had to have it. Throwing it up on the wall beside the holiest of holy: a J. Lee signed Stereo board. |

One for the Wall

It all happened on Shaw Creek Rd.
I know that no one wants to see winter photos when its +26 outside, but I just got this roll of black and whites with some old ones from January.
In the first, Bobby is perched on Jon Boy's sled while we were trying to get it unstuck from a pond.
And in the last my brother and his best bud do snowmobile tricks. Good times.
Self Portrait
If you hung out with me this winter in Timmins, this was pretty much the scene. Sometimes with more beer, sometimes with more buddies. It was a nonstop white knuckle thrill ride all winter long.

Morrisey Ripper
Why do I like Morrisey so much? I'm not sure. But I often find myself singing very loudly to the song posted above when driving home at night from my brother's house. Maybe it's his flamboyant hand gestures, or the bouquet of flowers sticking out of his back pocket. Who knows.
Anyway, I try not to reblog too much of the content in these pages, but this adaptation of Powell's Ripper graphic with Morrisey's melodramatic stare and fog horn leg horn like quaff were just too good to pass up.
I think Gareth Stehr drew it when he took a break from being the greeeeziest dude on a skateboard and motorcycle. Quite an achievement really. Check his blog HERE. Its full of all sorts of weird Satan lovin' stuff and some genuienly good graphics and artwork.

Progress on the ol' weekend project.

So the bank to ledge is almost done. Looks so very inviting. 5-OH to bank? OOOH ya! Just need to go get angle iron to throw on the ledge and you'll be able to hit it from both sides. The Tan Man came over to help me out with the angles. Banged this thing out in a sunny afternoon on the back deck avec beers and sagarettes. Now all we need is for the snow to melt.

Lee Tiff: Rip n Rage n Paint

This is my buddy and Timmins brethren Lee Tiff and what he does. Tiff is a painter, skateboarder, collector of nostalgia, heavy slang user and a young man that can throw a baseball. The next issue of Dick Jokes zine will profile Tiff's work and talk a little about his thought shapes. His work is very intricate and these pictures don't do them justice.
